June 10th Update

We’re excited to announce the recipients of Green Project Support 2023:

  • BlueStone Properties – Replacing 93 toilets at the Dufferin Corporate Centre with low-flow models
  • Junction Climbing Centre – Lighting retrofit to replace 50 fixtures and over 200 bulbs with LED alternatives
  • The Ice Box – Expanding their solar battery system for their food truck, allowing them to go further GHG emission free and keep their products frozen in transport
  • Let’s Talk Science – Installing a water monitoring system to track consumption and identify inefficiencies
  • London Bicycle Cafe – Purchase an additional cargo e-bike for the Bike for Business program, enabling local businesses to rent it out for long-term trials

Thank you to everyone who applied!

The Green Economy London team is thrilled to share that Green Project Support is back to help Green Economy London members implement sustainability projects at their facilities. This year, we’re offering one $5,000 incentive and three $3,000 incentives.

One $3,000 incentive will be allocated to directly support a water conservation and efficiency project such as a water audit, low-flow bathroom fixture upgrade, etc. The other incentives will be allocated to projects relating to any of the four target areas: GHG emissions reduction, waste reduction/diversion, water conservation, environmental stewardship, or to be used for a consultant, audit, or study.

Apply here!

Timeline:

  • Submissions are being accepted from May 1st, 2024 to May 28th, 2024
  • Recipients will be announced by June 3rd, 2024
  • Projects are to be completed between June 3rd, 2024 to December 31st, 2024
  • Project report to be completed no later than February 1st, 2025

Rules:

  • A Green Economy London representative must validate the projects for eligibility.
  • Project recipients must sign a project agreement, as any approved projects are considered to be in partnership with the London Environmental Network.
  • Recipients will receive the first 50% of the incentive upon project approval, the remaining 50% will be administered after the recipient provides proof of project completion such as invoices or receipts.
  • To be eligible for support, the organization must be a member of Green Economy London.
  • The member must set their baseline in accordance with Green Economy London’s milestone process and set a reduction target in the target area of choice.
  • Some of these projects may cost more than $3,00 – $5,000. It is expected that the member will pay for the rest of the costs associated with completion.
