This funding opportunity offers combined loan and grant funding to support municipalities and their partners in constructing, commissioning and initiating operation of an organic waste-to-energy system. This funding helps Canadian cities and communities produce and utilize local sources of energy and generate additional valuable products such as digestate and fertilizers, ultimately resulting in a net GHG emission reduction Combined grant and loan for up to 80% of eligible costs
Combined grant and loan up to a maximum of $10 million
Grant up to 15%* of the loan amount
Additional 5% grant available if the project involves the remediation of a brownfield site.
