We’ve been busy doing walkthroughs and creating sustainability reports for over 10 of our members as of October. From the walkthroughs we have been able to identify opportunities for businesses to reduce energy, waste, and/or water. Some reoccurring opportunities we have found include LED lighting upgrades, low flow water fixtures, and programmable thermostats. Outlined project opportunities, savings, costs, and suggested reduction targets are provided in the report. We already have a few members currently in the process of setting reduction targets! Stay tuned for upcoming announcements of these official target reduction commitments!
In case you missed it, we held a collaborative workshop focusing on reducing businesses water usage in September. We heard from a diverse panel of experts from MTE Consultants, Enviro-stewards, Carolinian Canada, Heeman’s, Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, and the City of London. Topics ranged from water reduction strategies, Low Impact Development projects, water catchment systems, to specific case studies. Don’t miss our next workshop which will look at sustainable energy for businesses. For more information and to register, click HERE. Early bird pricing ends Oct.31st, so sign up today! Workshops are open to everyone, and members receive complimentary passes as part of their membership.
